HB 2728  RELATING TO PESTICIDES                     EEP, CPC
        Establishes a new definition of "consumer protection
        health benefit products" under the Hawaii pesticides
        law.

HB 2076  MAKING AN APPROPRIATION FOR LITTER CONTROL AND
        BEAUTIFICATION                             EEP, FIN
        Appropriates funds to strengthen the statewide litter
        control and beautification campaign and to provide
        needed funds to support the Keep America Beautiful
        system through Community Work Day Program/Keep Hawaii
        Beautiful in the State of Hawaii.

HB 2312  RELATING TO WASTE DISPOSAL FACILITIES      EEP, FIN
        Exempts the cost of construction and materials of any
        zero emission waste facility built over the next two
        years from general excise taxes.

HB 2549  RELATING TO INDIVIDUAL WASTEWATER SYSTEM   EEP, FIN
        Delegates the responsibility of regulating individual
        wastewater systems to the counties.

HB 2527  RELATING TO SOLID WASTE MANAGEMENT DISPOSAL SURCHARGE
                                                      EEP, FIN
        Increases the solid waste management disposal
        surcharge from 35 cents per ton to 60 cents per ton

 
        for all disposal facilities except permitted inert and
        construction & demolition waste disposal facilities.

HB 2331  RELATING TO CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION WASTE EEP, FIN
        Establishes an income tax credit for a percentage of
        the costs of recycling construction and demolition
        waste, including trucking and transportation costs and
        recycling processor fees.  Exempts from the general
        excise tax the gross proceeds received from the sale
        of recycled construction material.

HB 2012  RELATING TO THE RECYCLING OF BATTERIES     EEP, FIN
        Provides for the recycling of used lead acid
        batteries.

HB 2538  RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLE TIRES            EEP, FIN
        Requires all entities accepting used tires to maintain
        records regarding disposition of the tires.  Creates
        additional funds to support illegal dumping prevention
        programs.

HB 2327  RELATING TO TAXATION                       EEP, FIN
        Establishes a tax credit for the purchase of an
        electric vehicle and a tax deduction for the
        installation of an electric vehicle charging station.

HB 2328  RELATING TO MOTOR VEHICLES                 EEP, FIN
        Establishes a fee-rebate, or "feebate" program with
        respect to the purchase of new passenger vehicles in
        order to reduce energy consumption and lower air
        pollution, consisting of a revenue neutral fuel
        efficiency surcharge and credit program based on the
        federal fuel economy ratings of the new vehicle.
